Comments added to activities can include GIFs now, just add a comment and type in some text to start searching for GIFs
Emojis can also be inserted into text fields in Synergist (not just in activities) - just place your cursor in the field to use and press the Windows key + full stop to open the emoji keyboard (Command + Ctrl + Space on MacOS)
