Purchase invoice autofill

Purchase invoices can be auto-filled by scanning a receipt or copy of an invoice.  This feature is available to systems in the Synergist cloud, it makes use of AWS AI to extract the required information from the uploaded receipt and create the purchase invoice in Synergist.

Add a new purchase invoice as normal from the list.  Click the AI autofill button, or drag and drop your receipt file onto the form

You will be asked to select the receipt as a file on disk - a photograph or similar - and once chosen the AI process will inspect the receipt and auto-populate the item date, total amount, vendor name and reference fields based on the contents.  If a non-unique vendor reference is detected this will an on-screen warning:

AI-generated content may be incorrect.

Check that the auto-filled fields are correct and save the new line to your expense sheet.  The image of the receipt is also attached as part of this process.
