File maintenance is the term used to describe the creation and maintenance of static lookup lists used in the day-to-day use of your Synergist jobs database. Normally this area is restricted to your super users / system administrators.
There are several articles in this section, each one covering a different area of file maintenance. Not all will be relevant to your setup - don't feel obliged to make use of a list in file maintenance just because it exists, most are optional and provide enhancements to certain aspects of, for example, reporting or job management.
