Using custom fields in reporting and data selection

Custom fields are a powerful way of making your Synergist implementation a perfect fit for your business requirements.  Read this article for information on set up and maintenance.

Any filter screen with an option to filter by Job/Phase will support filtering the selection by values in your custom field data:

Expanding the Job & Phase section will allow you to filter the data selected by custom field values:

These will either be under the heading Custom Fields, or if you have defined your custom fields into groups, the group headings will be used, as they are here (Admin & Repro):

All standard reports and exports all support filtering the selection of data by custom field values, with the following exceptions:

• Targets vs Invoicing
• Purchase Invoices - PIR
• Staff Utilization
• Missing Timesheets
• Draft Invoice Approval
• Client Pricing
• Last Timesheet Entered
• Client Investment
• Departmental Costing
