How to schedule reports

Save report view
Firstly you need to save a report view to use for your scheduled report. Go to standard reports > Select the required report > For saved reports it is normally better to tick 'Use pre-set date range' and then select the period required e.g. 'Last week', in order to keep the date range ticking over with current dates > Set any other options and filters as required > Go to Views - Saved reports - Save/delete report views > Enter a view name > Save.
 
Set-up scheduled event
Go to Settings > Utilities > Scheduler > New > Alert/process - Select 'Report Generation' > Enter a description, normally the report view name > Tick 'Active' > Settings tab > Select the frequency and time/day e.g. weekly on a Monday if you have the report view set to look at last week > Under 'Saved Report/View' select the view of your report that you have just saved > In the email field there is a character limit - it can normally accommodate approx. three email addresses (separate multiple email addresses with a comma and no space). If you need more we recommend setting up a distribution list using your email client, or you could create multiple scheduled events.
